What becomes of Steve Jobs wife, Laurene Powell Jobs?

Lauren Powell Jobs is a successful business woman, currently focusing on philantrophy. She currently serve on the boards of directors of Teach for America; Global Fund for Women, KQED (PBS), EdVoice, New America Foundation; Stanford Schools Corporation, and New Schools Venture Fund. She served many non-profit and was appointed ini 2010 by President Obama as a Member of the White House Council for Community Solutions.

Steve was known for keeping his private life secretive, and so does Powell. She was keeping a low profile, rarely appearing in interviews. She has a particular interest in education and went to found, College Track, a non profit that focus on helping minority kids. This is what made President Obama appoint her in the White House.

Powell earned her MBA in Stanford university where Steve gave a memorable speech in 2005, revealing much of his personal life. But 15 years earlier Steve also gave a speech while she was attending and he later said during an interview:

- If this is my last night on Earth, would I rather spend it at a business meeting or with this woman?

- I ran across the parking lot, asked her if she'd have dinner with me, and we walked to a restaurant in Palo Alto.

A year later they were getting married at the Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite National Park.
